Definitely a great place to visit for the seafood loving gourmand. We rolled in for a Sunday dinner and enjoyed the heck out of the tasting course. Lots of Japanese influence and highly detailed flavour combinations. The sauces in particular really made dishes pop, either contrasting a particular protein or creating an interesting series of bites. Expect largely local ingredients and odd preparations. There was near the end an enjoyable sourdough bread sauce for example. The price for the nine courses is pretty much the current benchmark so that's great too.
Without question, my favourite favourite restaurant. The food is always so thoughtfully created, and exceptionally executed. From the house made bread through to the artfully designed pairing menu, this dining experience is outstanding. Just go, you will love it.
Perch offered a truly great experience! Watching the chefs and bartenders in action was entertaining, the service was excellent, and the presentation of the dishes was beautiful.
I brought my gf here for our anniversary, and we did the tasting menu with wine and alternative drink pairing. Firstly, the service was amazing, I'm not a very fancy person and they explained the concepts of the food as well as the best tricks to eat said food. I really enjoyed every dish, and being able to see the art and skills of the chef's up close was very fun. The meals were perfectly timed, and the drinks were incredible as well. Well worth it for a special occasion !
My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the 9 course blind tasting. Great food, wine, sake, whisky etc. Awesome people and service. Highly recommend.
Had an incredible experience, the staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable and the service was outstanding. The dishes were beautiful, unique and beyond delicious! Above all, the beverage pairings added a whole other dimension and perfectly complimented each and every dish. Highly recommend for any occasion!

My partner and I enjoyed a 9 course dinner at Perch this weekend, and we were extremely pleased with the food, service, and ambiance of this Ottawa restaurant. My personal favourite course was the “Bison three ways” course—the donut was absolutely incredible. We have a few Michelin worthy restaurants in the city, and Perch is definitely one of them. Thanks to the Perch team for making my birthday dinner a special one, cheers!
